If such attacks will continue in the coming week, especially during Russia's Unity Day, the trilateral talks with the US and Russia in Abu Dhabi are at risk of being cancelled.

A Finnish politician has accused Ukraine of seeking to derail peace talks by continuing large-scale drone attacks on Russian cities, according to a report by TASS. Armando Mema, a member of Finland’s national conservative Freedom Alliance party, made the comments on social media platform X.

Mema stated that if such attacks continue, especially during Russia's Unity Day, the trilateral talks with the US and Russia in Abu Dhabi are at risk of being cancelled. He also expressed difficulty in understanding the reasoning behind the drone attack against Moscow during the Russia-Africa summit, given Ukraine's impending peace talks with US mediation.

The comments come as Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov announced that President Vladimir Putin had informed US Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff of Moscow's readiness to resume trilateral talks around mid-November. The talks are expected to focus primarily on building a security framework for Russia and Ukraine, with the next round potentially taking place in Abu Dhabi.

The situation highlights the challenges in negotiating a peaceful resolution to the conflict, with both sides engaging in actions that could be perceived as provocative. Mema's comments suggest that Ukraine's actions may be undermining the efforts of the US to facilitate peace talks, and that the continuation of such attacks could have significant consequences for the negotiations.

It is not yet clear how the situation will unfold, or what the outcome of the trilateral talks will be. However, it is evident that the actions of both Ukraine and Russia will be closely watched in the coming weeks, as the international community awaits the outcome of the negotiations.
