Israeli forces have killed a Palestinian man and wounded another in a drone strike on a tent sheltering displaced people in central Gaza, according to medical sources at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. The drone fired two missiles directly at the shelter, situated west of Al-Zawayda, with local sources identifying the victim as Abd Walid Matar.

Concurrently, Israeli artillery shelled eastern districts of Gaza City, naval vessels opened fire towards the shoreline, and a drone targeted the city’s Al-Karama neighbourhood. In southern Gaza, Israeli forces carried out a demolition east of Khan Younis. These military assaults occur amid daily Israeli breaches of a ceasefire agreement in effect since October 10, 2025.

According to Gaza's Health Ministry, Israeli ceasefire violations have killed 1,599 Palestinians and wounded 5,774 others. The situation in Gaza is further complicated by the lack of clarity on the circumstances surrounding the ceasefire breaches. The BBC reports that Israeli forces have been carrying out daily breaches of the agreement, but the reasons behind these actions are not yet clear.

Arriving with their families, settlers smashed doors and occupied the dwellings whilst the residents were away. Israeli forces subsequently entered Jericho and its adjacent refugee camps with military vehicles.

The Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission stated that Israel confiscated 2,536 dunams of land across Beitillu, Al-Mazra'a al-Qibliya, and Deir Ammar northwest of Ramallah by designating the plots
